The following paragraphs of this data protection declaration provide information on the relevant legal bases in each individual case.

Revocation of your Consent to Data Processing

Many data processing operations are only possible with your express consent. You can revoke consent that you have already given at any time. The legality of the data processing that took place up until the revocation remains unaffected by the revocation.

IF THE DATA PROCESSING IS BASED ON ART. 6 PARA. 1 LIT. E OR F OF GDPR, YOU HAVE AT ANY TIME THE RIGHT TO OBJECT TO THE PROCESSING OF YOUR PERSONAL DATA FOR REASONS ARISING FROM YOUR PARTICULAR SITUATION; THIS ALSO APPLIES TO PROFILING BASED ON THESE PROVISIONS. THE RESPECTIVE LEGAL BASIS ON WHICH PROCESSING IS BASED ON CAN BE FOUND IN THIS DATA PRIVACY POLICY. IF YOUR PERSONAL DATA IS PROCESSED FOR DIRECT ADVERTISING, YOU HAVE THE RIGHT TO OBJECT AT ANY TIME TO PROCESSING OF YOUR PERSONAL DATA FOR SUCH ADVERTISING PURPOSES; THIS ALSO APPLIES TO PROFILING TO THE EXTENT RELATED TO SUCH DIRECT ADVERTISING. IF YOU OBJECT, YOUR PERSONAL DATA WILL NO LONGER BE USED FOR DIRECT ADVERTISING PURPOSES (OBJECTION ACCORDING TO ART. 21 (2) OF GDPR).

Right to Data Portability

You have the right to have data that we automatically process on the basis of your consent or in fulfillment of a contract handed over to you or to a third party in a common, machine-readable format. If you request the direct transfer of the data to another person responsible, this will only be done to the extent that it is technically feasible.

Information, Deletion and Correction

Within the framework of applicable legal provisions, you have the right to demand and receive information about your stored personal data, its origin and recipient and the purpose of the data processing free of charge and, if necessary, a right to correction or deletion of this data at any time. You can contact us at any time if you have any further questions on the subject of personal data.

Right to Restriction of Processing

You have the right to request the restriction of processing of your personal data. You can contact us at any time for this. The right to restriction of processing exists in the following cases:

  • If you dispute the accuracy of your personal data stored by us, we usually need time to verify this. For the duration of the examination, you have the right to request that processing of your personal data be restricted.
  • If processing of your personal data happened/is happening unlawfully, you can request the restriction of data processing instead of deletion.
  • If we no longer need your personal data, but you need it to exercise, defend or assert legal claims, you have the right to request that processing of your personal data be restricted instead of being deleted.
  • If you object according to Art. 21 para. 1 of GDPR, a balance must be struck between your interests and ours. As long as it has not yet been determined whose interests prevail, you have the right to demand that the processing of your personal data be restricted.

Objecting to Promotional Emails

We hereby object to the use of contact data published as part of the legal obligation to send unsolicited advertising and information material. The site operators expressly reserve the right to take legal action in the event of unsolicited advertising being sent, such as spam e-mails.

4. Data Collection on this Website

Cookies

Our website uses so-called “cookies”. Cookies are small text files and do not cause any damage to your end device. They are stored on your end device either temporarily for the duration of a session (session cookies) or permanently (permanent cookies). Session cookies are automatically deleted after your visit. Permanent cookies remain stored on your end device until you delete them yourself or until they are automatically deleted by your web browser.

In some cases, cookies from third-party companies can also be stored on your end device when you enter our site (third-party cookies). These enable us or you to use certain services of the third-party company.

Cookies have different functions. Numerous cookies are technically necessary because certain website functions would not work without them (e.g. the shopping cart function in shops). Other cookies are used to evaluate user behavior or to display advertising.

Cookies that are required to carry out the electronic communication process, to provide certain functions you want (e.g. for the shopping cart function) or to optimize the website (necessary cookies) are stored on the basis of Art. 6 Para. 1 lit. f of GDPR, unless another legal basis is given. The website operator has a legitimate interest in the storage of necessary cookies for the technically error-free and optimized provision of its services. If consent to the storage of cookies and comparable recognition technologies was requested, processing takes place exclusively on the basis of this consent (Art. 6 Para. 1 lit. a of GDPR and § 25 Para. 1 of TTDSG); this consent can be revoked at any time.

You can set your browser so that you are informed about the setting of cookies and only allow cookies in individual cases, exclude the acceptance of cookies for certain cases or in general, and activate the automatic deletion of cookies when the browser is closed. If cookies are deactivated, the functionality of this website may be restricted.

If cookies are used by third-party companies or for analysis purposes, we will inform you of this separately in this data protection declaration and, if necessary, ask for your consent.

The collected data is stored until you ask us to delete it or delete the Borlabs cookie yourself or the purpose for storing the data no longer applies. Mandatory statutory retention periods remain unaffected. Details on data processing by Borlabs Cookie can be found at https://de.borlabs.io/kb/welche-daten-speichert-borlabs-cookie/.

Borlabs cookie consent technology is used to obtain the legally required consent for the use of cookies. The legal basis for this is Art. 6 para. 1 lit. c of GDPR.

If you send us inquiries via the contact form, your details from the inquiry form, including the contact details you provided there, will be stored by us for the purpose of processing the inquiry and in the event of follow-up questions. We do not pass on this data without your consent.

In all other cases, the processing is based on our legitimate interest in the effective processing of inquiries addressed to us (Art. 6 Para. 1 lit. f of GDPR) or on your consent (Art. 6 Para. 1 lit. a of GDPR) if it was requested; this consent can be revoked at any time.

5. Plugins and Tools

Elfsight Contact-Widget

We integrate functions of the Elfsight service. The provider is Elfsight, LLC, 0015, Armenia, Yerevan, Paronyana str., 19/3, 201. This establishes a connection to the Elfsight cloud every time our website is accessed. The IP address is transmitted in the process. The entries in the contact form are stored in a cloud service to which Elfsight has no access. Data protection: https://elfsight.com/privacy-policy/.

6. Presences in Social Networks

We maintain online presences within various social networks in order to communicate with the users active there or to offer information about us there. There are links on our website that lead to our profiles. As long as users stay on our website, no connection to the respective network is established. The links serve to enable users to communicate with us within these networks.

We therefore point out that user data can be processed outside of the European Union. This can result in different risks for users, for example because it could make it more difficult to enforce user rights. With regard to US providers, we would like to point out that the data is processed in the USA.

Furthermore, user data is usually processed within social networks for market research and advertising purposes and used accordingly. For example, user profiles can be created on the basis of usage behavior and the resulting interests of users. The usage profiles can in turn be used, for example, to place advertisements inside and outside of the networks that presumably correspond to the interests of the users. For these purposes, cookies are usually stored on the users’ computers, in which the usage behavior and the interests of the users are stored. Furthermore, data can also be stored in the usage profiles independently of the devices used by the users (especially if the users are members of the respective platforms and are logged in to them).

For a detailed and comprehensive description of the respective forms of processing and the possibility of objection (opt-out), we refer to the data protection declarations and information provided by the operators of the respective networks for these networks. In principle, you have the option of objecting to the use of your data by these platforms.

But also in the case of requests for information and the assertion of other so-called data subject rights, we would like to point out that these can most effectively be asserted with the providers. Because only the providers have access to the data of the users and can directly take appropriate measures and provide information. You can also assert these rights against these companies by invoking the GDPR, for example in Germany and in other European countries.

  • Types of data processed: Inventory data (e.g. names, addresses), contact data (e.g. e-mail, telephone numbers), content data (e.g. text input, photographs, videos), usage data (e.g. websites visited, interest in content, access times), meta/communication data (e.g. device information, IP addresses).
  • Affected persons: all users (e.g. website visitors, users of online services) whose data was collected, stored, processed or passed on
  • Purposes of processing: Contact requests and communication, tracking (e.g. interest/behavioral profiling, use of cookies), remarketing, range measurement (e.g. access statistics, recognition of returning visitors).
  • Legal basis: Legitimate interests (Art. 6 Para. 1 f. GDPR), consent (Art. 6 Para. 1 a. GDPR) if you have a profile with the providers yourself and visit the provider’s website
