- Sunmaxx and Eplucon combine their strengths: PVT modules, heat pump technology and intelligent energy management create a holistic, climate-neutral system.
- Sustainable and highly efficient: Energy from the sun and ambient air is harnessed with maximum efficiency, while flexible control ensures optimal distribution and source management.
- Groundbreaking concept: The partnership establishes integrated energy systems and drives the decarbonization of building technology.
Bochum/Dresden, 01.10.2025: Eplucon and Sunmaxx have joined forces in a strategic partnership. Their goal is the intelligent integration of photovoltaic-thermal (PVT) technology, heat pumps and digital energy management.
The hybrid modules from the Saxon manufacturer Sunmaxx generate both electricity and heat with an overall efficiency of more than 80 percent. They supply Ecoforest’s high-performance heat pumps, which operate with the environmentally friendly refrigerant R290 (propane). The result is a fully climate-neutral system that harnesses solar energy with exceptional efficiency.
Eplucon’s eControl energy management system complements the technology. It manages electricity procurement, optimizes self-consumption and distributes energy flexibly throughout the building. This ensures that power and heat are always available where needed – efficiently, sustainably and cost-effectively.
“We provide the heat source, Ecoforest delivers the heat pump and Eplucon adds the energy management. The result is a powerful synergy that gives our customers access to a complete energy concept – one that is pioneering both economically and ecologically. Brine-to-water heat pumps, their energy sources and intelligent management are the technologies of the future, and we see ourselves their enablers,” says Michael Gehenzig, Head of Sales at Sunmaxx.
Oliver Demers, Managing Director of Eplucon, also highlights the significance of the cooperation: “With this partnership, we are offering end customers, project developers and energy providers a future-ready solution for climate-friendly heating and efficient power use. The combination of PVT, heat pump technology and intelligent energy management is an important step toward cross-sector energy optimization.”
The partnership aims to establish integrated systems for residential and commercial buildings. It makes the switch to renewable and climate-friendly building supply easier – a milestone for the decarbonization of building technology.
